Winter Extravaganza Dance Competition:
You are Invited!
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in our Winter Extravaganza Dance Competition. This one-day competition will be held at The Grand Valley Dale Ballroom, 1590 Sunbury Rd, Columbus Ohio 43219.
It will be a day packed with dancing, competitively and during the general dances. We are sure it will, as always, be a most exciting and unforgettable day of competition.
Activities Include:
- Pro/Am, Am/Am Dancing
- General Dancing
- Luncheon

Time: 11:00 A.M.

Red Party - "Love is in The Air..."
Columbus Dance Centre wants to help you mark this Valentine's Day in a very special way.
Please join us for our Red Party Friday, February 15th at 8:30P.M, and we'll help you celebrate with a red wine, special dance performances, great music and lots of dancing.

NEW GROUP CLASSES
NEW Zumba Class (every Monday and Wednesday at 7:30 - 8:30 PM, now accepting new students) ~ "Keep It Moving Dance Aerobics" is great for anyone at any fitness level because you work at your own pace. Each class is specifically designed to give you the energizing dance workout you desire. Join at any time. There are no memberships or contracts required. Walk-ins are welcome.

NEW Belly Dancing (now accepting new students, please call)~ This is a multi-level class, exploring the movement, form, and application of belly dance. Students will learn movement through drills and education of various styles of belly dance (including Egyptian Cabaret and Tribal Fusion). Additional instruction will involve the application of props (veils, finger cymbals, balancing, etc.), some floor work, presentation, and potentially working with a live drummer. Students will learn a fully choreographed routine by the end of the class and will have the option to perform this routine at a Columbus Dance Centre showcase.

Remembering IGOR - 08/27/1972 - 07/10/2005
Igor and Svetlana Iskhakov founders of the Columbus DanceCentre were one of the top professional Dancesport couples in the United States and the world.
They were US representatives to the world professional 10-dance championships held in Japan on June 22, 2003. Their titles include 3rd place in the 2003 US professional 10-dance championships , 1999 Ohio Star Ball Professional Rising Star Latin-American Champions, Open Professional Northcoast and Cincinnati Dancesport Champions.
They also have a very strong and broad academic background. Svetlana received BFA in dance from Ohio State University completing the studies she did at the University of Culture in Moscow, Russia.
Igor received Ph.D.in Mathematics from OSU as culmination of his study and research in the department of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University, Russia. He also fulfilled the requirements of the dance program at OSU.
After a sudden water accident on July10th, 2005, Igor Iskhakov has passed away.
The world lost one of a greatest and talented dancers. Columbus Dance Centre's students and staff will always remember IGOR, the person who opened the doors of CDC for all of us to enjoy Ballroom & Latin Dancing for years to come.
